The nature around me and the environmental protection have recently become an important factor in my life. The fear of the destruction of the landscape nearby my house when a huge highway was starting to be built, increased my concern about the fate of an old avenue of eucalyptus tree that were intended to be logged.  When I asked myself the reason for the tenacity regarding eucalyptuses, my first thought was of a childhood memory, the special smell of these noble trees. Instinctively, toured the area around the trees and discovered huge barks, even 2 meters high, lying on the ground, covered in mud and dirt. I picked up some of them and from that moment they became the raw material and  inspiration for this series of mixed media works.
